When I lie down, I think, "How long before I get up?"

Someone calls to me, "Watchman, what is left of the night?" The watchman replies, "Morning is coming."

For just a very little while, He who is coming will come and not delay. He is like the light of the morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning.

I go and prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you may be where I am. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. You heard me say, I am going away and I am coming back to you.

May all your enemies perish, O Lord! But may they who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. There will be no night there.

Pray today for those in our military who are serving in war zones; particularly for those who must stand watch in darkness.
