Sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob. Begin the music, strike the tambourine, play the melodious harp and lyre. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, because the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Paul thanked God and was encouraged.
And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
Pray today for our military men and women who risk so much and are also tempted with much, that they will be encouraged to follow and joy in the Lord.
