For ships at sea it is dot-dot-dot, dash-dash-dash, dot-dot-dot. In the air
the call is "Mayday! Mayday!" Worldwide they are understood to mean distress
- help urgently needed.

"Evening, morning and noon I cry out in distress, and he hears my voice.."

Psalm 55:17

Fortunately, God has provided a distress communication. He says, "Pray."
It's our mainline to come to God and express our true feelings and needs.
Throughout the Psalms, David used this mainline often and effectively. Here,
he had experienced the treachery of a close friend. The city was in turmoil;
danger was everywhere; there was uncertainty as to who could be trusted.
Rumors and slander were circulating freely. The burden was too heavy to
carry alone. So David cried out ... around the clock he cried out. And the
benefit of it all was David knew that his God heard him.

In the "maydays" of life, don't tap on the Morse Code key or yell into the
radio
